Arturo Martinez is a skilled Mixing Engineer and Music Producer based in the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. His focuses in production are Blues, Rock and RnB, while his mixing ranges from Pop to Metal. He attended the Berklee International Network program at San Francisco de Quito University, Ecuador, where he studied Music Production and Engineering for three years. During his time there, he learned everything he could about music theory before deciding that it would be best to finish his studies in the United States.

Arturo is passionate about the arts, and music has been a part of his life since he can remember. At seven, he purchased his first record from The Police. His passion for music only grew when his cousin gifted him a classical guitar at 11 years old. After listening to music for so long, he realized there is much more to a music artist than just their CD’s surface. He became interested in audio engineering and learned more about the industry.

He tends to work with the music when he produces or engineers someone’s music rather than creating a distinctive signature sound. He strives to make and color the music by adapting to the song as needed. He takes what is already there and expands on it to bring out the most potential. He believes that giving the music what it needs leads to much better results than forcing it down a specific path. It feels more natural to him that way.

Arturo has had quite the experience when it comes to bands. He was the leading guitar player, composer, and arranger for Verbod. They made ten original songs and went their separate ways after two years. His second band, Escape From the Machinery, featured Arturo as one of the leading guitars, a composer, and a co-producer with other band members. While working with them, Escape From the Machinery wrote four songs. The group published one composition as a single and recorded the others as part of the album. Arturo moved to Florida after the recording and ended his career with Escape From the Machinery.

Outside the band scene, he recorded a Spanish jingle for a chocolate company. In addition, he’s worked as an audio engineer assistant and a recording engineer for two years. He is currently freelancing as a Mix Engineer.

He regularly reads articles about the topic, watches videos on multi-faceted technologies, studies mixing, is intensely curious about luthiers, and regularly follows the evolving art world. He loves doing this not only because it pleases him but also because it helps him improve and always do his best at anything he loves doing.
